Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, and how long we keep it.
Last updated: October 18, 2026
This policy explains what DownloaderFor collects when you use the website, why, and for how long.
What we collect
- Links you paste and the download you choose (site, quality, file size, success or error), so we can run the service, fix problems and stop abuse.
- Basic visit statistics: pages viewed, the website that sent you (for example Google), your country, device type and browser. We count visitors with a code that changes every day and is built from a scrambled version of your IP address — we don't store your IP address itself.
- Messages you send us through a form (name, email, message).
Cookies
df_id— a random ID that lets your browser see and save your own downloads. Necessary for the service.- Advertising partners may set their own cookies to show and measure ads. Where the law requires it, you'll be asked for consent first.
Downloaded files
Files are prepared on our servers only to deliver them to you and are deleted automatically within 60 minutes.
How long we keep data
Detailed visit and download records are kept for 90 days, then reduced to daily totals with no link to any visitor. Messages are kept as long as needed to answer them.
Country of visitors
We work out your country from your IP address on our own server, using the IP Geolocation by DB-IP database (licensed under CC BY 4.0). Only the country is kept.
Sharing
We don't sell personal data. We use service providers for hosting, security (Cloudflare) and advertising. They process data only to provide their service.
Your rights
You can ask for access to or deletion of data about you. Write to [email protected].
